Photonic Playground proudly presents the first Riot artist featured at the gallery, Geoffrey Ernault, with a current and former Blizzard Entertainment artist, Joe Keller & Katia Bourykina, respectively, for the months of April and May 2016. This is a FREE event, open to all ages!
Geoffrey is a concept artist currently working at Riot Games. He started digital art at the age of 17 years old and hasn't stopped since then. Geoffrey worked on both video games and movies, for clients including Guerrilla Games, MPC, Natural Motion and Airship Syndicate.
A game artist that has worked in the industry for almost 10 years, Joe works in 3d and 2d art primarily focused on characters. Past games include: World of Warcraft, Ratatouille Nintendo DS) and Wall-E (Nintendo DS). Currently a Senior Artist at Blizzard Entertainment.
Katia formerly worked as an associate character artist at Blizzard Entertainment on the World of Warcraft team, contributing to the Warlords of Draenor and Legion expansion sets. She specializes in low poly 3D modeling and texturing for game characters. She currently runs a patreon for those who are wanting to learn from her techniques.
Doors open at 7pm and close at 10pm. Open during the DSTA art walk event every first Saturday of the month. Light refreshments will be served, with wine provided for by The Wine Lab, Costa Mesa.
Framed and flat printed limited edition art work displayed for sale. Artists will be at the opening reception for a meet and greet.
The encore/closing show will be May 7th, from 7-10pm. This exhibition will be on display through the end of May 2016.
