Photonic Playground proudly returns after a long winter break with our first 2017 show, a themed art exhibit titled "The Child & The Parent: Two Generations of Art" featuring new original works by Anthony Jones, Tyson Murphy, Lim Hur, Rob Sevilla, as well as their children who were the basis for these works of art in this show. We collaborated with Makeshift, an art based community founded by John Ribera to bring together this show, with artist proceeds going to a charity managed by Makeshift to bring more affordable housing and education to aspiring artists.

This exhibition will have it's opening reception April 1st, 2017 from 7-10pm during the Downtown Santa Ana art walk. This is a FREE event. No tickets required. It will be open to all ages, with families and kids encouraged to come for this child/parent themed show with activities for young and old such as drawing, painting, and art demos by the featured artists. There will be live saxophone music played by local artist, Joaquin Martinez. Live painting demo schedule:

7pm: Doors open
7:45-8:45pm: Anthony & Delilah Jones
9-10pm: Tyson & Penny Murphy

These will also be live streamed on Facebook Live and recorded for those who can't make it!

The first 10 in line will be receiving a signed and numbered limited edition commemorative print as well as free access to the VIP section upstairs to enjoy the art demos and fine amenities. There will be a VIP guest list for friends and family of the artist, while all other public patrons can gain access upstairs by purchasing a piece of art of any kind from this current exhibition.  Buying art work helps the gallery, the artists, the charity, and all involved to keep these events going, so we all definitely appreciate the support!

The second opening on May 6th, 2017 will have only the downstairs gallery portion open only. And the closing show will be on June 3rd, 2017. We hope to see you there!
